Keeper Commander is an open-source Python-based CLI and SDK published by Keeper Security, Inc. that exposes the full administrative surface of the Keeper® Password Manager platform without requiring the graphical client. Currently at version 17.2.11 and counting sixty-five releases since inception, the tool is aimed at security teams, DevOps engineers, and MSPs who need non-interactive, scriptable access to enterprise vaults. Typical use cases include bulk provisioning of new users, automated onboarding/off-boarding workflows, scheduled import/export of credentials in CSV or JSON formats, password rotation for service accounts, discovery and replacement of hard-coded secrets in source repositories, and generation of compliance reports that list shared folders, record permissions, or policy violations. Because the package behaves both as a stand-alone command-line utility and as an importable SDK, it can be embedded in larger automation frameworks such as Ansible, Jenkins, or custom Python cron jobs; sessions can be non-interactive through stored tokens or integrated with SSO providers. The software is classified under Security / Password Managers and is distributed under a BSD-style license, allowing audit and community pull requests that are regularly merged by Keeper’s engineering team. Keeper Commander is available for free on get.nero.com, with downloads provided via trusted Windows package sources (e.g. winget), always delivering the latest version, and supporting batch installation of multiple applications.
